State of Florida Legislature - Situational Environmental Circumstances (SEC) Mentoring Program – a component of Florida State University’s High-Risk Delinquent and Dependent Youth Educational Research Project.

City of St. Petersburg Cohort of Champions initiative – designed to provide young African American males ages 12 to 24 training to be workforce ready and to provide wrap-around services to help them succeed.

Able Trust Foundation, Able Trust Grant - support individuals with disabilities, by preparing them for work and placing them in high-wage paying jobs.

  • State of Florida Grant, College Reach Out Program (CROP) – support middle and high school student completion and enrollment in postsecondary education.
  • State of Florida Grant, Florida Education Fund Center of Excellence – motivate elementary and secondary students to prepare for and enter college ( African American Brain Bowl, Math and Writing brain bowls, Achievers Honor Society, academic support, and tutorial assistance)

Oversight and guidance for the Center for Public Safety Innovation - multi-million dollar grants offering innovative and customized training to improve community policing, perception of and confidence in the police force, diversity, and to address youth gang activity, etc.

State of Florida, Martin Luther King (MLK) Day of Service Project – funded by the Florida Legislature. The purpose of the initiative is to expand service learning throughout communities. St. Petersburg College serves as the fiscal agent to four other Florida colleges. My responsibility is to provide oversight to the coordinator and ensure that all intended outcomes are met.

1997-present
Federal TRIO Grant, Student Support Services (SSS) – from 1997 to 1999, provided direct management of the program and meeting guidelines. Supervised the coordinator of the program and provided leadership and support to exceed grant goals.

1993-1997
Carl D. Perkins Grant – a federal grant designed to provide support services for students enrolled in workforce programs (career and technical). Responsibility included integrating support services efforts for health-related programs.
